Scared I'm Going To End Up Living Someone Else's Life ~ Confused Teen
Dear Jason,
I'm a 16-year-old girl and I'm feeling lost. I have so many dreams and aspirations, but I just don't know how to make them a reality.
I feel like I'm constantly being told what to do and what's expected of me, but I don't know who I am or what I really want.
I'm scared that I'm going to end up living someone else's life and not my own.
Can you give me any advice on how to find my own path and live the life I want?
Thanks for your help,
Confused Teen
Dear Confused Teen,
It's completely normal to feel lost and uncertain at your age.
You're navigating a complex and ever-changing world, and it's easy to feel like you're being pulled in many different directions.
But I'm here to tell you that you have the power to shape your own future.
One way to start finding your path is by exploring your interests and values.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
What causes or issues do you feel passionate about?
These things can give you a better understanding of what's important to you and what kind of life you want to lead.
Another way is to seek out supportive and positive relationships.
Surround yourself with people who encourage and uplift you, and who will help you stay focused on your goals.
Finally, remember that change and growth can be uncomfortable, but they are necessary for personal growth.
Don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and try new things.
This is a time for you to take charge of your life and make the decisions that will lead you to happiness and fulfillment.
I believe in you and I know that you have what it takes to create the life you want.
Take small steps, stay positive, and trust in yourself.
Best regards,
Jason
